After a thorough examination and blood screening to check your pet's health, we choose an anesthetic protocol that fits his/her specific needs. We use the safest anesthetic protocols available. During anesthesia, we provide important support measures such as warmed IV fluid therapy, body temperature control, and respiratory and blood pressure monitoring.
To keep your pet comfortable after the procedure we incorporate pain medication early, as part of anesthesia. This has not been traditionally done for pets, but we know that pets experience pain, and we want to prevent it. We give pre-operative pain injections, local anesthesia injections as needed, and post-operative pain injections. We dispense pain medications with all invasive procedures.
Our new dental unit helps us provide the highest quality dental cleanings for your pet right outside your front door. We use a special solution that we apply to the teeth to show us where plaque is that may have otherwise been missed. Once your pet’s teeth are thoroughly cleaned, we polish them, then apply a product called Oravet that helps prevent bacteria from sticking to the teeth. If any problems are found, we can take dental radiographs, and extract any teeth necessary to ensure your pet is healthy and pain free.
We can provide any necessary surgeries from spays or neuters, to mass removals, or more. The best part is that your pet will never have to stay overnight in a strange place. We will give you detailed instructions for their post-surgical care and they can recover in the comfort of your home.
